Stephanie at 35 months

It has seemed like Stephanie is really growing up in the last few months. She is starting to understand more and more and make connections to what is going on with other people. Sometimes it does seems like she is more 2 than almost 3 but when you look at how big she is it hard to believe she'll be 3 next month. She has made the connections like when she has milk for dinner and then she looks to see who else has milk and points it out and looks to see who doesn't have it. She likes everyone to have what she has or everyone to have the same things. She will see something in her photo album and try to find it around the house or try to find one of her toys that gotten put up high away from Emily. She loves to find ants around the house and outside. She will try to squish them because it's what Jeff does when he finds them inside. She has done pretty well in her big girl bed in the past few weeks. She does love having it but to her going to bed now means she gets to play in her room all the time instead of falling asleep. She will close her door, all the time, turn on her light, sometimes, read books in her bed or on the floor, play in her closet, play with some toys, or just play in her bed. It causes more of a problem at nap time but overall she has done very well. At work she has taken some naps in Mia's bed and has bed rails there that keep her in because I don't want her wandering around Mia's room and playing with her stuff. The first couple days were a little tough but I think she is use to it now. She has had a few therapy lessons and seems to like it and does well in it. She is stubborn so she doesn't always do want they want her to do but that is what we having been dealing with for a long time. She also is suppose to wear tennis shoes, or shoes with a good arch that are supporting her foot. They are trying to work on her tip toe walking. That means no crocs this summer. Just something we have to get use to. She does have some sandals that seem pretty good that I have to ask them about. It would be hard not to wear sandals during the summer. Besides the rain this weekend Stephanie has loved a early summer.
