Emily graduates

Emily finished her first year of school right before Memorial Day. She is already asking when she gets to go to Stephanie school. Her class had a concert as they did at Christmas time and it was so adorable. For as shy as Emily is she has no fear of singing and acting in front of others. She new all the words and did all the actions very well. She looked so pretty and happy up on stage. It was hard to believe that her first year of school is already over and she'll be off to K4 in the fall. She is so eager to learn and now wants to learn to read. She thinks because she knows the alphabet she can read so we are working on the sounds to try get a start on reading. She loves using Stephanie's iPad and is learning a lot on there already. It is great seeing her grow up but sad that she is getting big. She does say he funniest things and brings a smile to my face everyday.

Growing up

Hard to believe the girls are going to have birthdays soon and Matthew is growing up right along with them. They were all so excited to have such nice summer days for the last week but non so happy to have the cold rainy days return today. They all loved the pool and have been so much use out of the swing set already. Stephanie loves to swing again, yay!!! She can get on the swing herself and is even enjoying being pushed pretty fast. She is even going down the slide and even figured out how to climb up the slide. She doesn't go down fast but at least she is going down and enjoying it. Emily gets on her swing and will swing a little but enjoys swinging on her stomach instead. She loves going down and especially climbing up the slide. She saw her cousin Abby climbing up the slide at Matthew's party a couple months ago and was determined to do it herself. She's so proud of herself now. Matthew is just as proud of himself as her already learned how to climb the ladder to the slide and has even managed to climb into the tunnel a couple times. He also loves the slide and usually goes down on his tummy. The kids even enjoyed their first roasted marshmallows. It was Emily's idea but then she didn't even want to try it. She eventually did but wasn't impressed. Both Matthew and Stephanie loved them though. The pool was a big hit this week with all of them. Matthew wasn't sure what he was suppose to do but it didn't take him long to figure out how to climb in and out and kick and splash. They should all have a fun summer. Once the warm weather returns.

Matthew loves to be outside

There has been so much going on and the kids are all starting to enjoy some spring and summer days. Emily graduated from preschool last week and is already so excited to go to Stephanie's school in the fall. Stephanie will be done with school on Wednesday and then will have a summer full of in home therapy. She will get 29.5 hrs a week this summer. She has continued to make progress in her speech with combining 2 words together and using them appropriately. She still has her good days and bad days and I'm sure she'll have some adjusting once school ends but hopefully she can have a good summer. She is enjoying her iPad and besides the games is learning how to learn to use it to talk. She learned very fast how to work it. Emily loves it too and has been very helpful teaching Stephanie how to use it and play.

Matthew is growing up and becoming such a little boy. He loves that he has learned to run and tries to catch his sisters. Both girls love to play with him, sometimes. He loves the swing set and has already learned to climb the ladder by himself. He loves going down the slide and tries to climb up it like Emily. He is still up at night but it is getting better. I am still nursing him but usually only once a night. He is a happy busy boy and such a delight to see grow and learn. He thinks he is so funny and will just laugh at himself or try to do something to make us laugh. He is stubborn and is still attached to me but is getting better around others. He has been going back and forth to taking 1 or 2 naps a day but usually happy if he gets about 3-4 hours a sleep a day. He still has a low fever every once in a while but just keeping tabs on it now. Other than that we have been pretty healthy since the 2nd week of May. Hopefully we can al have a healthy summer. They all can't wait for the pool to come out.
