Swaddled Emily

I think I went a little overboard on this swaddle of Emily. It was a little chilly in our house this morning and this was the warmest blanket around. It was also the biggest one and Emily needs to be swaddled tightly or she will try to escape. I do think she looks very cute and can't get out but she doesn't look likes she is sleeping so probably not necessary.

Fun bouncy seat

Emily loves her bouncy seat just as much as Stephanie did. AS soon as she's put in there she smiles and the legs start kicking which makes music and light appears on the attached toy. She smiles and laughs in there and is entertained for at least 15 minutes. This is the only way I can get a shower in during the day.

Finger Painting

At the beginning of the month Stephanie finger painted for the first time. She wasn't really that into it and when I tried getting her hand print she kept squishing her hand together. She had more fun just putting her finger into the bottle of paint than making any pictures with it. I finally did get a hand print and later I realized she was exactly 26 months old. So, of course, I had to take a picture of it.

Soccer practice

We were all set for the first World Cup game last week but we still need to work on kicking the ball. Instead Stephanie was kicking the roll of tape around the house. She is getting better with kicking a ball outside and she uses both feet. I just need to get back on my team since I quit last October when I got pregnant.

Brewer fever

Since I love the retro Brewers I had to get this outfit for Emily before I knew if I was having a boy or a girl. I am glad she got to wear it while they are finally in another pennant chase.

Packer fan

Even though Stephanie is usually sleeping through much of the Packer games she is a big fan. She will cheer as soon as she sees the game come on and claps at our Favre picture we have hanging in our stairwell. Yes, she does clap for all sports but I think she does know that it is football season now. She is a bit confused though since the World Cup going on now though and we have been watching a lot of soccer. And we normally have given up on the Brewers by now but they are still going strong. So it has been a pretty active sports house lately. Stephanie even let me put some pig tails in her hair for the big Packer win.

Great present

It was so nice of Emily to sleep through the night for the 2nd time for my birthday on Monday. She slept through last weekend once also, then had a rough week, but she did it again Sunday night and did pretty well on Monday night also. Sunday night she slept from 8:20-5:15. Then ate and went back to sleep from 6-8. She also moved to her crib on Saturday night. It was harder for me to have her in there but so far she's been doing fine. Hopefully we have another good night tonight. The great Packer game must of worn her out on Sunday.

Missing Pictures

I have been trying to edit my pictures from July so I can order then and get them into albums so I don't get too far behind again. I was looking back on pictures from Stephanie at this age and kept seeing pictures of Stephanie with my Nana. I'm not going to have any pictures to label "Emily with Nana", or "Nana holding Emily". She was never able to hold Emily and it makes me so sad that she is gone and I can't have her around to watch her grow. She loved holding Stephanie and watching her grow into a wild 2 year old and I won't have any of that with Emily. I am thankful she made it long enough and was able to see her at 3 days old but I miss her so much. I do believe she is so happy now in heaven and is watching her grow, I just don't get to share it with her. Both of my girls with know how much their Nana loved them and how very special she was to me.

Emily at 2 months

I have been so far behind but I have been enjoying my 2 little girls and haven't had time to edit my pictures. Emily at 2 months, smiles, talks, sleeps better, and pulls my hair. I think it's time for a haircut for me already. She even slept through the night for the first time last night. She went to sleep just before 10:00, and Stephanie woke us up at 5:30 because she lost her nuk. So of course I had to check to see if Emily was breathing. She was and woke up a little later to eat but then went back to sleep til 8:00. So it was a good night all around. Hopefully she will keep that up. She went to the doctor on Friday and got 3 shots which was very hard to see but she weighed 10lbs 11 oz, and was 23 inches long. The same height as Stephanie at 2 months but a little smaller. She is growing so fast already.
