Last month we got a couple inches of snow and the following day we went over to visit my friend Adrienne and her kids. The kids were very excited to finally be able to wear their snow boots outside instead of practicing inside for the last 2 months. Matthew wasn't so sure of them but as soon as her saw the girls wear them all the time, he decided they weren't so bad. After the first real snow we got a few weeks prior Jeff had them all out and Stephanie did well and the other 2 loved it. I've also had them out a couple times. At Adrienne's house the kids got to go sledding for the first time ever down a little hill in her backyard. They all loved it. We haven't had much snow since (and it's okay if we don't get anymore) but they had fun while it lasted. Stephanie goes outside for school 2 times a day and she is doing pretty well. She tolerates it and accepts it now but I don't think she will ever love it. The sledding was her thing though and she didn't even mind carrying up her sled. I am enjoying this warmer than usual winter but it was exciting to see the kids faces when they got to play in the snow. I have finally invested in real snow boots and one of these days I'll get some snow pants again too. I just really don't like the cold and the snow, but it is Wisconsin. As long as we aren't paying for it in the spring and summer.
