Yesterday we celebrated my parents 40th wedding anniversary. We joined them at church where they renewed their vows and then we had a luncheon celebration at their house. What a wonderful example of love and marriage they have shown us. Thankfully the weather held out and it wasn't so bad. Some of my family hadn't seen the kids since Christmas (longer for Stephanie since she had missed it) and they both did great. Stephanie loves everyone all the time, it just takes Emily a little while to warm up. She had some time at church to take everyone in and then was almost ready at my parents. She had fallen asleep during the 5 minute car ride from the church to my parents so it took her a little bit to figure out where she was when she got up. She was also coming down with a cold so she wasn't feeling great. Stephanie sure had a blast by sneaking the snacks of chocolates around the house that were placed perfectly at her level. Emily, who doesn't eat her baby food, was all about grabbing everyone lunch, and tried to get Auntie Susie's Blue Moon beer. I'm sure because it felt good on her teeth coming in. Stephanie missed her nap and we thought she was all sugared up when we left but she fell asleep in the car, as did Emily. It was too late to let Stephanie sleep but Emily had a good late afternoon nap. It was a great party all around.
