Emily's purse

For the last few months Emily has needed to have her purse with her at all times and takes it everywhere, in and out of the house. It started out with her carrying a screwdriver and chapstick around. One day she asked for a screwdriver so we gave her one of ours that we could take the end off and at first she looked at it like we were crazy. It can't be a screwdriver without the end. But she took it after we said she could ask Santa for one of her one. Santa did bring her a screwdriver in her own tool box. Since then she got her glasses so now she carries around her glasses cleaner, her cloth to clean her glasses, sometimes a tissue to wipe her eyes (she usually needs her glasses cleaned after she's been crying), and 2 little bottles of nail polish that I say she can't open until she's 3 (Jeff isn't on board with that yet). No more screwdriver though. But lately she kept asking for money to put in her purse. I told her she needed to go to work to get money and she said she wants to stay home with me but she'll go to work when she's 3. So after her eye surgery this week she received a get well card from my Auntie Susie and she included a dollar in it for Emily. I told her that Auntie Susie was so proud of her when she went to the hospital that she send her the card and the money. She was so excited!! She ran to get her purse right away and was so happy to have her own money to put in her purse. She kept taking it out over the weekend and would show it to us. Jeff went to Lowes yesterday and Emily went along. They were leaving and had to run back and get her purse, and was so excited she had her own money to take to the store. Jeff said she kept taking it out and was so happy with her one dollar. Thank you Auntie Susie!!
