Talking up a storm

This is a post that I have been putting off to write. It is because Emily is talking up a storm and as great as it is it is still hard to see her surpass Stephanie's words. Emily now repeats everything you say and is putting 2-3 words together. It is so cute to hear and it just reminds me of what I missed with Stephanie. But she will get there. Anyways, Emily has so much to say and it is so cute when she says "okay" to almost everything you say. She also loves saying "morning", but she will say it on and off all day long. She will say "morning" to everything and anyone. She also knows what she wants and makes it clear when she is mad about something. She is very sensitive and doesn't like getting yelled at but knows when she is really doing something wrong. If you don't give her what she wants she'll collapse on the floor crying like it's the end of the world. But that will only last a minute or two. It has been funny though because you can still trick her and get her to do what you want. Like if you want her to get into her chair at the table and she says "no" you just say that you are going to get in her chair and she yells, "no me" or "no mine". We can do that with hugs and kisses, shoes, diapers, and pretty much everything. We keep wondering how long this is going to last. We are enjoying it while we can. It is just amazing at all the words she can say and how she can put words together. She will say things like "cloudy outside", wash blanket", "me goofy", "penguin in crib". But then she doesn't say bunny, she'll say "hop hop" or "apollo". She also still calls herself a baby so my idea of getting rid of the nuk at 2 saying it is for babies not big girls is going to backfire on me. After their party I'm going to get her potty trained (she's getting big girl panties for her birthday) and then I'll work on the nuk. Busy summer for her. She's growing so fast.
