Matthew's Baptism and 4 months old

Two weekends ago when the girls had their birthday party we also had Matthew baptized. He wore my Grandpa's gown that he was baptized in 87 years ago. He was older than the girls were when he got baptized so he did a lot of moving around in the very fragile baptismal gown. He loved grabbing all the bows on it and tried getting it all on his mouth. He enjoyed everything about the baptism at church and had no problem with water being poured on his head. He seemed like he was ready to jump into the water. Stephanie on the other hand did not enjoy any part of the baptism. I'm not sure if it was going in different doors to the church that through her off or the fact it wasn't a mass and things were happening differently than usual but she was screaming during the whole thing. It was hard for me to handle since there was nothing I could do but thankfully there were many people in my family to help with her.
Once we got home everything was much better. Matthew was very good and handled the heat and all the people very well. Stephanie did go right in the pool when we got home with her dress still on. But I had to go with the flow knowing it was her party too. We had a beautiful day, though it was a little warm, the storms stayed away. The girls had a lot of fun playing in the pool with their cousins and had a blast opening their presents outside. When Emily went to bed that night she said "thank you" to Nanna for the gifts. I had said what about me and she replied "you didn't get me anything". That little stinker.
Now that Matthew is 4 months old he is so busy and aware of everything around him. He loves watching the girls and will just about anyone a smile when they look at him. He still loves to eat his hands and suck on his fingers. He will still use a nuk at times but loves his hands. He holds his rattles, passes them between both hands, and puts them in his mouth. He loves the bouncy seat and looking at the fishes swimming in the fish tank. He is starting to lose interest in the swing and takes most of his naps in his crib. There are times I can lay him in his crib and he will fall asleep on his own but we are still working on that. He still gets up during the night. Sometimes once but usually twice a night. But now he nurses for about 10 minutes and goes right back to sleep. He goes to bed around 8:30-9, gets up between 12:30-1:00, then sometimes sleeps til 6-7 or eats again at 4:00. The girls love him and there are many times that Emily will say "he's so sweet" while she's rubbing his forehead. Stephanie now will go get him toys, or a burp cloth, or a diaper. She loves to help. A few nights ago we were in the basement and Stephanie was jumping on the trampoline and Matthew thought it was hilarious. He went to the doctor yesterday and he weighed 14lbs 15oz and was 27 inches long. He weight has slowed down some but that it common with breastfed babies. He still can wear some 0-3 onesies but some of his 3-6 month sleeper are getting short on him. He much have a lot of his length in his legs. He is such a happy baby and such a blessing in our lives.
