I can't believe its been a whole year. This year went extremely fast. Emily seems so big already and is doing so much. She also understands almost everything. We ask her questions and she'll nod her "yes" or "no". We'll ask her to go ni-nite and she'll say "ni-nite" and walk to the stairs. We'll ask her if she wants to eat and she'll walk over to her high chair. She is good eater when she wants to be. She loves yogurt, applesauce, ham, cheese, blueberries, watermelon, bananas, bread, bagels, corn, peas and she has started to eat whatever we are eating. But she also loves her bottle. Right now she is still having 3 a day and I would be happy to get down to 2 a day by the end of this month. Little goals are all I can handle now. She weighed 21lbs and was 31 inches when we took her to the doctor last week. Pretty average all around. She loves carrying her blankie around and climbing on Stephanie chair, especially standing on it. She knows how to turn around to sit down on it instead of climbing into it and sitting down. Besides "ni-nite" she says, "ya", "hi", "da-da", "ma-ma", "all done". Not all are totally clear but she is trying. She definitely knows what she wants. She loves to dance, with music or without. She plays with little cars, sometimes dolls, little people and animals, anything with music. Emily is a little scared of our bunny. She won't go by him and sometimes tries to hide by us if he's out and watching her. She doesn't like walking on the grass for some reason. Loves to eat the leaves and grass outside though. Loves to push the outside cars around. She just starting sleeping through the night more regularly and she also just got 2 more teeth this week. 2 more on the bottom so now 4 each on the top and the bottom. At her party she was better than I thought. She woke up and there were some 40 people in her house and she wasn't sure what to think. She played with her cake and she picked the rosary instead of the shot glass and the dollar bill. She wasn't sure what to make of the presents but had fun with the paper. She was very good all around. The day after the party on her birthday she had some ice cream and loved it! The first bite shook her whole body since it was cold. So very cute. She is a troublemaker underneath all that cuteness though. She is the one opening all the cabinets, throwing the toys, throwing her food and her cups, pushing all the chairs around. She is still a little fearful of others but I think it's getting better. She'll have to get use to it next month on vacation when no one ever leaves and they are always by her. It will be a blast though. Happy First Birthday Emily!! You are a wonderful, happy, adorable one year old. We love you.
