Emily's birthday

It is so weird to think that Emily is 4 now. Sometimes she still seems like my little baby but she is so grown up in her language and understanding of the world around her. She is so curious to everything that goes on and brings a smile to my face each and every day. She had her first check up at our new doctor and was so proud of herself that she didn't cry during her shots. They measured her a couple inches taller than I did at home ( I called and talked to them about that) and her correct height was 39" and weight 32lbs. It puts her still around 20-30% for her stats. She's just my little peanut. Currently her favorite new sayings are, "that would be so awesome" , "that would be great", and "isn't that gross". She cannot wait to go to school in a little over a month and be in the same school as Stephanie. She loves thinking about and pretending to be a grown up and trying to figure out how her life is going to be when she is a mommy. She says that Jeff is going to build her a house for her and Matthew and Stephanie will have her own house but will be over to visit everyday. She isn't sure where she wants Jeff to build her house yet though. When she thinks about being a mommy she says to me, "that will make you so happy, won't it". She wants me to visit everyday too. Besides being a mommy when she grows up she wants to be teacher, like Stephanie's therapists, and a restaurant worker ie. a waitress. A new one today was "a money person at the store". I think she meant the cashier at the grocery store. For a couple days last week she wanted to also be a pilot but now she doesn't want to do that anymore.
She has always had a great imagination and has made up imaginary friends and now she is making up trips to friends houses and what she does there. She will say "last week when I was at my friends house they had that for breakfast too". Or "my friend has that game at her house to and she showed it to me last time I was there." I hope that the classroom full of kids isn't too overwhelming for her. I think it might have been last year but I hope she makes some friends this year and has a great time. She also makes up songs all the time about anything and everything. It all has the same melody but she changes the words to fit the situation. It could be eating, cleaning, playing, doesn't matter. She is so eager to learn and can almost spell her name but she wants to read and count to one hundred. We are working on sounds and she can count to 30 pretty accurately.

Emily had a great birthday and we went back to the lake like we did for Stephanie's birthday and they had a lot of fun. She was able to have whatever she wanted for her birthday dinner before we had sprinkle birthday cupcakes. Her special dinner was; broccoli, green beans, and carrots with dip. I added some buttered noddles to that but she was so thrilled with her dinner. Hard to believe she's my child. She keeps telling everyone that she is 4 now and she can't believe how old she is. She did ask the other day though when she is going to be 5. Let me get use to her being 4 first. She is growing up so fast but it is so fun and enjoyable to see and listen to how her minds think. She is such a great sister for Stephanie and loves having Matthew as a little brother. She likes helping both of them and is such a help to me. She even helped me get ready for her party by sweeping, cleaning chairs, and helping me frost her Dora cake. She had a great party and lots of fun with her cousins and other relatives. The day after her party we went to my cousin Heather's house for a baptism and birthday celebration and on the way there Emily said "yay, I just love parties". You are so sweet Emily. I love you so much!!
